Role Description: The Community Manager supervises the staff team, runs the community in an efficient and organized manner, posting important announcements, and other operational tasks. To do this role properly you should have a detailed understanding of Discord’s community tools, Google Suite, and excellent interpersonal/staff management skills.

Reports To: Executive Director.

Time Commitment: 5–7 hours per week. Hours are not tracked, this is just to get an idea.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate a team of moderators to ensure effective community moderation.
• Overseeing daily operations on Discord, ensuring a vibrant and positive atmosphere.
• Own the growth in both size and engagement of the community.
• Collaborate with departments to develop and implement community growth, engagement and retention strategies.
• Curating content and ideas to add value to the community.
• Chiming in and monitoring discussions and posts.
• Reviewing staff applications and conducting interviews.

Role Description: The Community Administrator focuses on the online security and safety of our Discord server. They have an in-depth understanding of how to use Discord and keep an online community safe and healthy. The Administrator will set an example for/support the lower Discord staff and attend to server-dev related tasks.

Reports To: Community Manager.

Role Description: The Director of Events oversees the planning and execution of virtual events for Revival4Youth in our Discord. In this position, they plan and coordinate staffing, speaking, sound/video, and overall the rundown of what our events will look like. Working with other departments within the organization is necessary to determine details such as the goal of the event and what purpose it serves. Organization skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate duties are imperative. Excellent communication skills are required to create productive relationships with participants, which is key to successful events.

Reports To: Operations & Community Managers.

Role Description: Event Coordinators are responsible for creating virtual event concepts, contacting potential participants, and evaluating event effectiveness for the events that take place in our Discord community. Event Coordinators will be responsible for conceptualizing event themes, preparing and managing event timelines, coordinating technical aspects, generating media interest and coverage, marketing planning, and managing event participants. Their creativity and resourcefulness in organizing and hosting successful events that meet Revival4Youth’s objectives will aid us in the advancement of our mission, inspiring confidence in our brand, and communicating brand intentions with the community.

Role Description: The Senior Content Moderators ensure that our Discord community is a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for everyone. This can involve anything from reviewing and removing offensive or inappropriate content to monitoring user behavior and flagging potential rule violations. Senior Content Moderators play a vital role in keeping our Discord server welcoming for all users. They uphold our community values by taking necessary action to ensure that guidelines are being followed.

Reports To: Community Administrator.

• Fostering healthy (especially spiritual) conversations to keep public chats active.
• Answering any questions that may come up in the public Discord channels.
• Taking necessary action in the event that a member violates the community rules.
• Whether that means warning, muting, kicking, or banning the respective member, etc.
